Is this a TREND?

When I saw this awful sight I thought it must say ‘Samuel Health’ and be an advert for a sort of Pensioners’ BUPA.

Then I remembered I wasn’t reading SAGA magazine, but Elle Decoration which I’d bought to get my 20% off at Habitat coupon.

As Elle Deco costs a massive £3.50 I need to spend at least £17.50 to get my money back!

How many blueberry scented candles does a girl really need?

Anyway, the ad was really for ‘Samuel Heath’ who makes the type of stylish bathroom fittings intended only for Penthouse loft places.
Even too posh for Habitat.

But I’d seen this Catweazle style a few days ago in the Guardian weekend magazine.

Perhaps this guy thinks he looks like this.

Whereas he really looks like this

Long hair can look fabulous on a bloke.

But - like Sampson before him - Viggo didn’t cut the mustard when it was cut off for ‘A History of Violence’.

LONG grey hair is never a good look.

Doesn't that ad make you want to rush out and buy a Samuel Heath Shower?

Er, no. It makes you want to rush out and throttle their 17 year old creative director.

Mrs Rine made Mr P. go for a haircut today as he has a secret yearning to recreate Led Zep but actually would look like wierd coffin dodger and necrophiliac ....(get lawyers to check this and fill name in)....

Now then, now then.

My inner-perv jury is still out on whether I like the M&S ads with Brian Ferry in them. Loved him in the 80s, grew a bit less fond of him in the 90s and now in 2007 doesn't he just look like he needs a sit down and a cuppa?

Perhaps you just have fast ears.

If 60 is the new 40 - Michael Stripe is the new Robert Plant.

I saw him last year lurking on a trashy Spanish variety show.
Probably the money was good -Rather sad really.

At least Bryan Ferry's given us a good laugh with his Bob Dylan covers.

The Mick Fleetwood look is not an attractive one.

Like a year old corpse which has had its nails cut.

The nails ARE cut, aren't they?

He ruined a Bob Dylan song on this Spanish TV 'Big Show'.
Made you ashamed to be British.

Do blueberries have a scent? Perhaps I meant some other sort of berry.

We've had coffin dodgers, necrophiliacs and now corpses.
Nails cut or not - it's a good advert for cremation.

You wouldn't want to get too relaxed ... would you?

It always looks as if that sort of hair that if you ran your hands through it would come away in clumps.

Robert Plant doesn't look too good with long hair nowadays, does he?

Betty's right about The Plant looking a bit peeky (?).
Thanks to your viking kitten link, Kaz, I spent most of yesterday singing "we come from the land of the ice and snnoowww!"
That's quite enough prog. rock for me, ta.

He’s still OK for me.
But he should have taken the Roger Daltry approach to ageing rock star hair.

Viking kittens or not ...can you ever have enough of Led Zep?

Is it just me that wants to lick Robert Plant's wee nipples in that pic?
