Flying with the Soaps
This wasn´t true of the passengers on yesterday´s early morning flight from Manchester to Barcelona. They all looked smart, attractive and urbane - with the possible exception of Kev.
And guess who was on the plane.
None other than ...
Yes Audrey - Sue Nicholls.
Non Corrie persons may remember her as the lovelorn secretary in Reggie Perrin.
She looked great (excellent highlights) even though she must have been up since 4.30am. We were both wearing waist length denim jackets - hers was blue, mine ws black. Doubtless they will now become the top Autumn fashion for women of a certain age.
She was with Alan Bradley (her husband). remember he was the Corrie villain who tried to kill Rita on Blackpool prom. He ended up under a tram.
He was looking a bit fed up - as you would if you hadn´t had an acting job since 1989, your wife was a top star in a top international soap, your hair had turned grey and you´d been up since half past bloody four in the morning!!!
YES, I´m here again
But only for a week - after which I´ll be home alone.

Rubbing shoulders with the celebs, eh? I already knew that because Sue Nicholls mentioned you in her own blog. I didn't read it all, just studied the excellent highlights.
You are in my latest video by the way.
How on earth did you get over here so quickly? Did you come by CATamaran?
Looking forward to the video - but then everyone will recognise me - I´ll feel like Audrey!!
I think you would have outshined The Honorouble Lady Sue with your etherealness and denim jacket.
I hope your flights in and out, were better than mine. Though I thought of you when we were walking around Gatiwick searching for Immigration and there coming into land was...Monarch.
Betty would mention Sue's posh background. If Betty could comment :( I used to fancy Sue in Reggie Perrin but never in Corrie. I'm more of a Reggie than an Alf Roberts.
Maybe they were going to visit Roy Cropper who lives in Barcelona.
I'd forgotten she used to be in Reggie Perrin, gad she was a lot younger in them days.
Hey it was sunny in Manchester this morning!
Nora:
That would be the dose of ether I took to prepare myself for the flight.
Roses:
Blogging eh?
I think of Murph when I see BCS in Teso and you when I see the perfume counters in Kendals
Geoff;
Her dad was just my type - a Baron and a Tory MP! Still she was on an economy flight.
Roy in Barca - sure it isn't Barnsley?
Gerald:
I'm not one to wish bad weather on my friends whilst I'm away. Well not much anyway.
Nice spot....I always liked Sue Nichols whether in RP or Corrie. Glad to hear she's looking well.
The best spotting we had in the Scilly Isles was Alun Armstrong who looked just as wonderfully dour in the flesh as he does on the screen. MRs.LDNP took his photo but despite having autofocus Alun is very blurry. He wasn't wearing a denim jacket, blue or black. Perhaps this bodes well for your autumn fashion predictions!
*faints*
Losers? We are all winners when you do a new post.. don't forget to put the cheque in the post for that comment.
I remember Sue in Rent-A-Ghost....ha!
I like "Or-dreh".
Not long ago I spotted Willelm Dafoe in my local Wholefoods. Quite an achievement because he's tiny.
Nic:
Didn't know you two were paparazzi?
Although I tried not to stare, I couldn't help noticing that Audrey and husband had Champers for breakfast.

*Administers kiss of life*
Wom:
'Rent a Ghost' - a strange role for an ex RADA Baron's daughter.
Arabella?
Never thought of him as tiny - just a bit scary.
I just got to first base with KAZ!

Bugger the rumours!

Believes in live and let live.
Good for Phil Spector, if he did not feel comfortable being on that plane. Bravo for PHIL, maybe if more people were aware of their sursoundings
911 may not have happened!
We're not, but live in hope ever since we saw an advert for paperazzi.com (or something) on an EasyJet flight which promised us riches galore for snaps of celebs..... that holiday the only "celeb" we saw was Kevin McCloud from Channel 4's Grand Designs.....
wow - she's aged well
there is hope after all. . .
Joyce:
Phil certainly acted on his hunch.
NiC:
Now you tell me.
I like Kevin.
View:
Hope indeed - she's even older than I am.
